About the role:

Currently, Immutable’s product is in high demand from some of the largest companies in the world. We are scaling our engineering team to help us deliver a world-class product to these customers. As part of that effort, we are seeking Lead Engineers with a proven track record of leading high performing and engaged engineering teams which deliver fantastic products for our users.
As the Lead Engineer, you will work with a diverse and passionate team focused on taking our flagship game asset exchange "Immutable X" to as many players and gamers as possible. You'll help them build innovative growth features and incentive schemes to maximise this expansion. You'll have a lot of flexibility in terms of tools, technology and architecture. You will also have the opportunity to coach, mentor and support a team of engineers while also driving technical design decisions.

You will have the opportunity to:

    • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers
    • Define, implement and continually improve reliable and efficient end to end delivery processes to accelerate software development and improve quality
    • Manage delivery by removing blockers for the team
    • Track and communicate progress, manage downstream dependencies and risks whilst managing internal stakeholders' expectations
    • Ensure the team has a system of work and rituals in place to support their success
    • Create a working environment that helps the team remain effective, inclusive and innovative

We would love you to have:

    • Proven success in leading and mentoring a high-performance team in a product/SaaS business
    • The ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the role
    • Previously worked in an environment with high-load Restful APIs and event-driven architectures
    • Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices such as Clean Code / SOLID principles
    • Passion for solving complex business problems with a balance of technology and people
    • Ability to articulate a long-term technical vision/mission and define the path for how we get there

If you possess skills in two or more of the following, we'd love to talk to you:

    • Typescript or Golang programming languages
    • Any statically typed languages such as Java, .Net, C++, OCaml, Haskell, Scala
    • A dynamically typed language such as Python, javascript, Ruby, Clojure
